Cheerleading tumbling???
I’m working on my standing back handspring, and roundoff back handspring. I’ve actually done my standing handspring on the floor by myself twice a while back. But now its like I fell down of the top of the mountain, and I’m starting to climb back up. I know I can do it if I practice and workout alot. I only get to tumble at my gym twice a week and the rest of the week I just work out at home. If I’m in 8th now, do you think by the time I go to college I could have my standing back tuck??? I’m so worried its seriously all I think about. Please give me some tips thanks.

P.S. on the stunting does this mean if you can back or base a liberty/extension or fly??? Which do you have to do?
i completly understand what you are going through…just when it seems you have something, it feels like you move backwards….i have been tumbling for less than 6 months and i have my roundoff backhandspring on a 1 inch mat…(and i’ve done it on the track at a fb game, and on grass before) but i still have days when my tumbling feels awful…….sometimes what you need is a break…in the summer i couldn’t even tumble on the spring floor without a spot, and i had a month break and as soon as i started tumbling again, i picked up quickly where i left off and soon got much better than i had ever been and was able to do it on the 1 inch mat in 2 practices……if you put in enough work and practice then you will deffinatly have it..just takes a little bit of time, be patient =] good luck!
